Alicia Anthony

Suspense with a Twist

About Me

Raised in the small town of London, Ohio, Alicia is an elementary school literacy specialist for her alma mater. After a brief stint as a theatre major at the University of Southern California, she returned home to Ohio to complete a B.A. in Communications from The Ohio State University.

After spending time as a media coordinator for an advertising agency, a car sales associate, a retail employee, and a modeling talent scout, Alicia finally tried her hand at substitute teaching. She returned to school and obtained a Master of Education in Literacy Instruction and began teaching full-time.

Now pursuing another dream, she has completed her graduation residency in Spalding University’s Master of Fine Arts in Writing program and earned an MFA in Creative Writing. She is a member of Romance Writers of America (Central Ohio Fiction Writers and Kiss of Death chapters), International Thriller Writers, Sisters in Crime (SiC Columbus Ohio chapter), and Mystery Writers of America, as well as other local writing cooperatives.

She lives in Jeffersonville, Ohio with her ever-tolerant husband, Doug, and amazing daughter, Jillian. When she’s not writing, she can be found in front of her computer, teaching English to Chinese students, curled up on the sofa with a good book, or watching Jillian ride her horse, Hogan.

Alicia is currently at work on her next novel.

You’re a writer and teacher too? Wooowee! How much easier it must be for you to write posts! Very much envy ya, Alicia! Enjoy your weekend!

    • I’m not sure if being a teacher helps or hinders me, but regardless, I do enjoy it. It sounds like you’ve been busy with lots of essays yourself. Hope it’s sunny in your neck of the woods. Thanks for the comment, sf!!
